Richmond Heights Christian School

My name is Beth Sery and I have been working with children since

1990. I was a 4 year old pre-school teacher until 2001 when I finished

my degree and became a certified K-8th grade teacher in the state of

Arizona. Since then I have taught Kindergarten, First, Third,

Fifth/Sixth, and am excited to be teaching second grade this year at

RHCS.

I have been married to my wonderful husband for 19 years and we

have two girls. Our oldest is currently a freshman at Grove City

College (Pre-med) and our youngest has the pleasure of attending

third grade at RHCS. We love to travel both in the USA, and abroad.

We also enjoy hiking, bike riding, and are active in our church.

I have always felt "called" to teach and take the responsibility placed

before me very seriously. I have extremely high expectations for each

and every one of my students. "Thinking" is encouraged, as well as

the fact that we are all working unto the Lord.

Accelerated Reader: Students take a star reading test to determine

their reading level. Books will then be sent home in a red folder.

Please encourage your child to read every evening. Our goal in

second grade is for every student to read and test on at least 40

books. As your child progresses through various point clubs his/her

photo will move across the wall outside our classroom. Readers are

Leaders!
