My name is Diane Rogazione and I have taught at RHCS for 22 of its
23 years. Before coming to RHCS I lived in Guatemala and Ecuador
for a year as a missionary with Christians in Action. I also taught at
Vista Christian School for 7 years.
I have a Bachelor of Science in K-12 Art Education from Evangel
College in Springfield, Missouri, an Elementary Education K-6 degree
form Cleveland State and a Masters equivalent in Elementary
Education.
I am a portrait artist and recently illustrated the book William’s
Terrible, Horrible, Trip Down the Hall, written by Kathleen Swaney. It
will be available on Amazon.com in 2010. I am honored to teach the
first graders at RHCS, where the Bible is our main textbook and
shapes our Christian worldview. My goal is to instill a love for God,
learning and others in our first graders.
1st grade is full of fun as well as work. We use a phonetic approach
to reading and a conceptual math curriculum. Some of our highlights
are Johnny Appleseed Day, Patterson’s fruit farm and funfest, the
History Museum and Planetarium, the 100th day of school parade,
the Indian Museum of Lake County, Century Village and the Fairport
Harbor lighthouse and museum. This year we are the peaceful
puppies. We are Good.
