RICHMOND HEIGHTS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL HISTORY
As a result of much prayer and preparation, Christian Assembly officially opened the doors of Richmond Heights Christian School on Thursday, September 10, 1987. The school began with a Kindergarten class with three students. Our desire was to start small with a vision to eventually develop a full educational program by adding at least one grade level per year.
The vision for a complete elementary school was realized in the 1992-93 school year when a Sixth grade was added and enrollment reached a new total of 81 students. We took another step forward in the 1997-98, when we added Seventh Grade and reached another all-time high enrollment of 144 students. The Lord opened the door for us to add Eighth Grade for the 1998-99 school year, with enrollment for grades Kindergarten through Eight reaching a new high of 150 students. Since the beginning of the 2004-05 school year, RHCS has offered grades Kindergarten through Six.
AFFILIATION AND ACCREDITATION
Richmond Heights Christian School was established by Christian Assembly in 1987 and remains a viable ministry of the church. Our school is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI). Richmond Heights Christian School is a Chartered Elementary School with the Ohio Department of Education.
